Trent Rockets
The Trent Rockets are a franchise designed to attract new audiences with simplified rules of cricket-based in Nottingham. This team represents the area of England that includes the historic counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire for the newly established The Hundred competition, which will be held for the first time for the English and Welsh cricket seasons 2021. Trent Bridge cricket ground will host both the teams of men & women.

On July 19, 2021, the team played their first match against Birmingham Phoenix in the 100-ball cricket tournament. The Hundred Cricket Teams matches are classified as Twenty20 matchups and have the status of Twenty20 or Women's Twenty20. All the players in this game have played at least 100 games for the matches of Trent Rockets from the teams of Men's or Women's.
History of Trent Rockets
The Rockets selected Joe Root as their top men's draftee and Natalie Sciver as their top women's draftee in the first Hundred draught in October 2019. Alex Hales and Dawid Malan of England internationals entered the men's team, while Katherine Brunt joined Sciver for the women's team. Former Zimbabwe cricketer Andy Flower was named the first coach of the men's team in February 2021, while former Yorkshire Salliann Briggs, the women's player, was named the first coach of the women's team.
The introduction of a new eight-team of the men's and women's series for 2019 sparked debate with players such as Virat Kohli. They criticised the Cricket Board of England and Wales for moving away from Test cricket. Others claimed that the model should have been based on the well-known and successful format of Twenty20. The ECB, on the other hand, concluded that a specific format was required to attract crowds.

Trent Rockets teams of men's and women's play in West Bridgford at Trent Bridge in Nottinghamshire, which is also the home of Nottinghamshire. The women's squad was scheduled to play at Derbyshire County Cricket Club's County Ground in Derby and Leicestershire's Grace Road.
