The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) has emerged as one of the most exciting cricket tournaments in India. Launched in 2016 by TNCA, this annual 20-20 tournament showcases the finest cricketing talent from the state of Tamil Nadu.

With its intense matches, passionate fans, and a platform for budding cricketers, the TNPL T20 has become a significant event in Indian cricket. Chepauk Super Gillies and Lyca Kovai Kings were declared as the joint winners of TNPL 2022, as the final match was abandoned due to rain. In 2023, Lyca Kovai Kings defeated Nellai Royal Kings by 104 runs and won the TNPL trophy.

The current season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) will begin on 5th July, 2024, marking the eighth season of this esteemed tournament. The opening match will be a thrilling encounter between the Lyca Kovai Kings and the Chepauk Super Gillies at the Salem Cricket Foundation Ground situated in Salem.. Throughout the T20 tournament, matches will be held in five prominent cities of Tamil Nadu, namely Coimbatore, Dindigul, Salem, Chennai, and Tirunelveli. The grand finale of the tournament is set to take place on 4th August 2024 in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

In the 2024 TNPL edition, eight teams representing different regions of Tamil Nadu will vie for the championship. They will engage in 28 league-stage games followed by four playoff matches, which will help decide the final winner of the TNPL Fantasy tournament.
